The Garden in the Cedar Forest

The enclosed garden of the Garden Villa Retreat is within the Himalaya Villas cedar estate — the mature deodar cedar trees form part of the enclosure on one or more sides. The garden floor receives filtered cedar canopy light. In October, the amber cedar and deciduous leaves fall into the enclosed garden. In January with snowfall, the enclosed garden fills with fresh snow — the child's first cedar garden snow experience in a contained private environment.

5:45am: Adults: cedar estate dawn walk. Young children: continue sleeping.

7:30am: Breakfast on the private garden or villa terrace. Children in the enclosed garden.

9:00am: Depart for Patriata Chairlift (3km, 8 min). Children's first aerial cedar forest experience.

11:00am: Return to Garden Villa Retreat. Enclosed garden play time for young children.

1:00pm: In-villa lunch served at the garden table.

3:00pm: Cedar estate afternoon walk (older children accompanying adults).

5:00pm: Enclosed garden independent time for children as temperature cools.
